This is a wonderful opportunity for any Upper School student who loves dogs and is thinking about pursuing a career with animals.   Dean Miller is offering a 2-week unpaid summer internship at his facility, Club Canine. The intern will work alongside Mr. Miller and his staff to assist with daily tasks from feeding and walking the animals, checking the kennels, cleaning, and shadowing the full-time employees.   It may also include administrative duties such as answering and returning calls from customers, organizing and filing paperwork, and tracking and ordering supplies to help the student learn what it’s like to own and manage your own business.

Club Canine serves a need for owners who want well behaved and functional companion dogs in their lives while their canine family members also get the opportunity to enjoy social interaction with other animals.   Club Canine has had an innovative approach to the traditional services of doggy day care and boarding since 2001. They use these services as a vehicle for teaching early puppy development, obedience training, as well as behavior rehabilitation. And the fostering of healthy social interaction and play with other dogs and people.
