Description
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any Upper School junior interested in pursuing a medical career. Awty father and orthopaedic surgeon, Tarek Fahl is offering a two-week unpaid summer internship. This is the perfect opportunity for your child to learn what being a physician is really like while at the same time adding to their resume and college applications. Intern will shadow Dr. Fahl during both clinic and in the operating room.
Texas Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine is a group of orthopaedic surgeons serving the north Houston market since 1975. They have assembled a group of physicians with specialized expertise in several areas of orthopaedics. Their two locations make it convenient for our patients seeking their specialized services.
The advanced, specialized care patients receive is delivered by board certified orthopaedic surgeons. Their physicians strive to maintain the highest standards of orthopaedic surgery.

Special Instructions
Open only to Awty students entering their senior/terminale year in 2017-2018.
Intern will shadow doctor for approximately 4-5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Student is responsible for contacting medical practice to arrange mutually convenient days/times for internship.
NOTE: Surgical facility is approximately 45 minutes from school.
