Houston Ballet, one of the world's premier dance organizations, is offering an unpaid summer internship to an Awty Upper School student!  

Houston Ballet is currently the 4th largest ballet company in the United States and one of the largest arts organizations in Houston. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a multi-million dollar non-profit arts business. Get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to prepare for a new season of dance productions, fundraise for an international arts company, and help us prepare for our inaugural Opening Night Onstage Dinner!  Even if you don't have background in dance, this opportunity will give you amazing insight into how a successful arts organization functions, meets revenue goals, and the business behind Houston’s cultural scene.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• An organized and enthusiastic person studying any major related to the internship of the applicants interest.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, acute attention to detail and the ability to work independently are required.

Duties:
• Assist in creating a development department operation manual.
• Assist in donor stewardship, including thanking donors for support.
• Support stewardship and special events teams during event seasons.
• Organization and filing of digital and hard copy documents, as needed.
• General office assistance, upon request.

Summer Projects:
• Assist in preparation for the Opening Night Onstage Dinner
• Assist with start of season individual giving renewal mail out
