Spoon Mountain House is all about nature. Foliage, long country walks, cross-country skiing, Okemo and Killington...and Manchester Center Outlets! Our hand-built house has comfy beds, amazing views, and peacefulness. The solar-powered House has its own spring; good for couples, solo adventurers, families, and big groups.
This is a lovely 2-story house with a large attached garage and barn space. There are four bedrooms total, two bathrooms, and two large common rooms. It has been completely renovated and furnished.
Spoon Mountain House is located about 40 minutes from ski resorts like Okemo and Killington, and there is cross-country skiing out the door. Shops are in either Rutland or Manchester Center, so stock up before you come so you can have a relaxing visit.
Ping pong table and hammock in the barn, dairy cows down the road, horseback riding too. Lovely hikes to the top of Tinmouth Mountain, with White Rocks and Haystack Mountain nearby. In summer enjoy picking berries, swimming in local water holes and abandoned quarries. Rutland has bowling and indoor climbing walls. Middletown Springs has the amazing Cissy's Restaurant and handmade pottery at Rising Meadow Pottery. This is a great place to let kids play in the brook in bare feet. Cell service is spotty but we have wifi, so unplug if you want.
Please ask about pets - we're open to the idea but only if they're really well-trained and monitored. Because lots of people have allergies, including one of the owners, we'd have to charge extra for cleaning.
There are stairs inside and outside, so please be aware if that is an issue.
The kitchen has basic cooking equipment and a few items like salt and pepper, oil and vinegar. Paper goods are provided. The nearest small market is in Middletown Springs. Cissy's in Middletown Springs has great meals to eat in or take out. Supermarkets are in West Rutland, Rutland and Manchester Center -- shop well before you arrive and then just relax!

Special Instructions
This item will be available for pickup at the Elemental Music Concerts on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium, 1501 California Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90403.
Auction Pickup will take place in the lobby commencing one-half hour before the start of the concert.
If the item needs to be shipped, the winning bidder is responsible for the additional shipping charges.
