Description

An unbelievable opportunity to stay for a week in a gorgeous part of Switzerland in a lovely family chalet - skiing in winter and hiking/running/mountain biking and lots of other activities in summer.

The chalet is situated in the tiny village of Cumbel in Val Lumnezia in the canton of Graubünden in the southeastern part of Switzerland (see map).  It is about a 2 hour drive from Zurich airport and accessible via Swiss Rail and Bus.

The house itself is a stand-alone, modern chalet (see picture of the house style and views from the house and top of ski area). There are 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms - two bedrooms have double beds and one bedroom has four bunk beds. There are additional mattresses for more kids on the floor. It has a large, fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, two sitting areas and a piano (plus covered parking place, cable tv, wi-fi, etc).

The Obersaxen ski resort is about 1 mile away where there is ski rental and storage. The resort is moderate in size and skiing difficulty (see http://www.obersaxen-mundaun.ch/).

It is about a 20 minute drive from the huge world-class resort, Flims-Laax, (see http://www.laax.com/en/home/) where the world snow-boarding championships were held a couple of years ago. It would be feasible (but a long day) to go to Lenzerheide or Klosters/Davos to ski
