1 Four-week session of horseback riding lessons at Tom Sawyer Camps.

Ages 4-12

Tom Sawyer Camps’ horseback riding programs foster confidence and helps each camper overcome his or her own fears. Our horses are carefully selected for their good character and patience.  Campers learn to respect the size and power of the horses and develop the skills needed to control their trusty steeds.  As proficiency develops, campers may participate in exciting and innovative games on horseback or go on trail rides with their group across the "desert."  The sense of accomplishment that each camper gains will be evident in the dinnertime tales about his or her friends Merlin, Lady Bug, and Trucker.  Safety, of course, is very important and our trained staff closely supervises each rider.  Helmets are mandatory and provided by the camp.
