Deck of Playing Cards with Original Art inspired by Artists of the Pacific Northwest Coast

 

Description of project - These beautiful, standard sized playing cards are filled with artwork created by the 3rd Grade Italian Class, inspired by Haida artists. The Haida are the first nation people indigenous to Haida Gwai on the Pacific Northwest Coast. Their art is full of animals, geometric shapes, mythology, bright colors and personal connection. The children each picked one or two animals that reflect their own personality, or which they love, and created a work of art inspired by other artists working in this unique, Pacific Northwest art tradition.

 

Each deck of card contains over 32 drawings created by the children of Maestra Pino’s 3rd Grade Italian Class.
