Description
"Cliff Dwellers of Cedar Mesa: The Cultures, Sites, and Exodus of the Ancestral Puebloans" by Donald J. Rommes and William D. Lipe
In this book, the authors share their fascination with Cedar Mesa's deep cultural history. Bill Lipe's archaeological insights and Don Rommes' stunning photographs show why they, and so many others, are drawn to this remote and special place.
Cedar Mesa, now part of the Bears Ears National Monument, shelters spectacular rock art and ancient cliff dwellings of the Ancestral Pueblo people who called this home more than 800 years ago. This area is sacred to native peoples and enjoyed by an ever-increasing number of visitors.
Canyonlands Natural History Association (CNHA) has supported the parks and public lands of southeastern Utah for over forty years. Our funding comes from memberships, private donations, and sales from our retail outlets: twenty percent of each sale funds the educational and resource management programs of the three federal agencies we support, as well as our own educational and scientific research programs.
