Boston By Foot is dedicated to promoting public awareness and appreciation of Boston's rich history and architectural heritage by offering a wide range of guided tours and programs conducted by a dedicated corps of highly-trained and enthusiastic volunteer tour guides.

About our tours

Each Boston By Foot tour is designed to help you experience the city in ways you never imagined - you’ll see historic landmarks, explore a diverse collection of neighborhoods, discuss facts and misconceptions, and learn new insights on the influences, characters and preservation efforts shaping the city.  Our nine classic tours are offered regularly May through October and available on a limited basis during the months of April and November.  Our special Tours of the Month, holiday events and special tours offer unique opportunities to explore Boston’s cityscape. In addition to walking tours, we present Architecture Cruises in partnership with Boston Society of Architects and the Charles Riverboat Company. All tours are offered on a private basis and custom tours are available upon request.
