Shawl-Anderson Dance Center (SADC) is a non-profit organization co-founded, in 1958, by Victor Anderson and Frank Shawl. What looks like an ordinary house in Berkeley, California, is, in fact, a home for dance in the East Bay where over 1,000 dancers come each week. The Center offers classes for all ages and levels in modern, ballet jazz, hip-hop, and conditioning, with specialty classes such as Lifelong Movement for older adults. For choreographers, Shawl-Anderson offers a friendly place to find dancers, rehearsal space, and in some cases, fiscal sponsorship.

Special Instructions
Gift certificate may be used for regular adult drop-in dance or cinditioning clasees or any regular scheduled youth classes during summer, fall or winter/spring semester. Please note that the gift card may NOT be used for summer camps, intensives, workshops or master classes or for any class where a techer is paid directly by students rather than through our front desk.
