Location
I discovered the subject while traveling from Four Corners to Bryce National Park. It was in an open stretch of road. Quickly appreciating the oncoming scene, I remarked to my husband, “stop the car!” as the dirt from the side of road left a trail behind. It was a my only capture, but I was satisfied I’d captured what I first felt when coming upon the scene. It portrayed the character of a quiet Southwest scene that had some unknown story from the past.
It was only later I realized the beautiful mountain range hovering in majestic color off the afternoon sky. It framed the scene beautifully and I feel made the capture truly special. It was a peaceful moment to appreciate the unique beauty of the Southwest Region, the lands of the Navajo Nation. For those car buffs, it’s a ’49 Buick!
