A Slice of WISH History

Item Number: 16
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
The massive Flame Coral tree (Erythrina coralloides) that graced the entrance to the first location WISH occupied when it opened in 2010 hosted hundreds of delighted children among its limbs until it was cut down in 2015 for new development. Several pieces of that tree are now displayed outside the entrance to the WISH main building as a tribute that can remain with the school wherever it goes. Now you have an opportunity to secure your own piece of the beloved tree.
An approximate 5” diameter branch was used to make this medallion of WISH history. With only 19 pieces made, each one was cut, engraved with the establishment year of WISH Charter, painted and varnished by hand. It is small and lightweight enough to be displayed or hung in your home, as a memory of the tree many of our kids grew up on.
Slices will come with a stand and a copy of a printed history with photos of the tree when it stood.
*As each slice is unique, winning bidders may choose which slice they would like at the auction pickup. First come, first serve!
