Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® are naturally-occurring proteins that can reduce the signs of aging by reducing overactive muscle activity. They are especially effective in reducing frown lines, but are also commonly used to help the wrinkles of the forehead, around the eyes (“crow’s feet”) and the lips. These products are highly safe, do not require surgery and have minimal side effects. The process usually takes less than 10 minutes, and patients are able to return to work shortly after their procedure. Results from Botox® Cosmetic and Dysport® usually take 72 hours to show their effects, but it can take up to two weeks. The results usually last three to four months. In contrast to most offices, Drs. Wooten and Emery will perform all of the injections.
