Admittance to the summer program of Westside Children's Theatre

Westside Children's Theatre offers musical theatre programs for children ages 7-16 in the West Los Angeles area. Founder/Artistic Director, Jerelyn Newman's true passion lies in the artistic education of children; their emotional development, and the unbridled joy she witnesses in them when they are on the stage. With a deep love for children, musical theatre and her community, Jerelyn decided to follow her dream and open up her own theatre company in 2015.

THE WESTSIDE CHILDREN'S THEATRE MISSION
Westside Children's Theatre is a place where teachers instill in children a sense of wonderment, passion and excitement for musical theatre. Simultaneously, the children are a constant source of inspiration for our teachers. At WCT, children learn to trust one another, take risks, and become part of a larger community. They learn to interact more effectively with their peers, form a deeper and more sophisticated sense of creative identity, and gain ownership over the creative process and product. When a family joins our WCT community, they witness their child's growing confidence, and pure joy of creative expression in a safe and loving environment.
