Mala Yoga was founded in 2007 by co-directors Angela Clark, Steph Creaturo, and Christina Hatgis, who were passionate about creating a yoga studio where people could feel comfortable taking their first yoga class, and excited to come back for their second. Fast-forward to today: Mala is a well-established Brooklyn studio with a strong community vibe and as much laughter as there is attention to alignment. 

This studio is about growth, self-discovery, and the chance to begin again...over and over again. We started this studio because we love to teach. We pay close attention to our students. We know who has tight hips, who has super-flexible shoulders, and who hyper-extends their knees. Yoga is a journey, and we want to be the ones who guide you.
