Time to get to work for the City of Menlo Park! One child, third grade or higher, will get a behind scenes look at the vital role the Public Works Department plays for the City of Menlo Park. Highest bidder will join Justin Murphy, the Department's Director, for 2-3 hours of on-the-job duties and lunch. Learn about the Department's divisions, which include engineering, transportation and maintenance. The Department constructs, repairs and maintains our city streets, sidewalks, trees, buildings and much more. It also oversees the engineering review of all private developments to ensure that these projects are constructed according to city specifications. If your child has an interest in engineering, transportation, or government or just wants to understand more about the city in which we live, work and play, please bid!
