Description
Target Audience: 1st Grade students and families
Movie night at the Oakland Zoo.
Put on your jammies and enjoy an evening of animal close-ups and a private class screening of the movie Sing.
Bring your pillows, blankets, and chairs (the seating is on a hard-surface floor) and snuggle up in the Oakland Zoo's Zimmer Auditorium as Roosevelt, the zoo's costumed alligator mascot, introduces you to some of the zoo's nocturnal education animals.
After that, we'll screen the main feature attraction. Singing along (on key or off) is welcome.
Hot chocolate (with marshmallows, of course), juice, water, and popcorn will be provided by the zoo and the hosts will offer other child-appropriate munchies.
You are also welcome to bring your own treats and traditional family movie fare.
Special Instructions
Date: Saturday, June 10, 2017, 6:30-9 p.m.
Location: Maddie's Center for Science and Environmental Education in the Zimmer Auditorium.
Directions: Enter Knowland Park from Golf Links Road and make the second left into the lower parking lot area. Follow the road around the loop to park closer to the Zimmer Auditorium.
Families are welcome to attend or parents may drop off their kids. Because we need an accurate head count to provide to the zoo, the tickets are being sold as one seat per person, but reach out to the hosts if you want to discuss further options.
Ticket price is per person.
