Description

Dendritic sandstone formations are delicate paintings by nature resembling ferns and plants. Formed naturally, these inclusions of iron oxide and manganese oxide spread between rock layers to form branching crystalline structures called “dendrites”. They are split open at these points to reveal the “painting.”


This piece is approximately 11" x 7."

Winning bidders attending Puttin' on the Dog may pick up their item at the gala, April 22nd at Loews Ventana Canyon, after 9pm. Items may be picked up after the event beginning on Tuesday, April 25th at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716 from 10 am to 5 pm. Items not picked up by July 1st, 2017 will be forfeited.
