Description

From the archive of the Kona Historical Society, this beautiful photo, printed on canvas, illustrates how "the trails to move cattle mauka to makai for shipping, or along the shoreline for movement north and south, were punishing even for the heartiest of animals. Hot, dry, rough, aa bordered trails provided little room for unsure footing. Many of the existing trails determined the route of travel crossing through several ahupuaa. Pictured on the trail to Keauhou are paniolo on Wall Ranch c.1921." This photo was featured in the exhibit, Kona Ranching and Kona Cowboys: Our Way of Life

It measures 16"x11", the canvas is a cotton/poly blend and it has a UV resistant coating.
