Description
This item is a collection of four Chimayo weavings from Ortega's Weaving Shop. Chimayo weaving is a tradition with roots deep in old Spanish Colonial New Mexico. Ortega's Weaving Shop is the ultimate icon of the Southwest and is the product of nine generations of inventive weaving, perfected. They are still made with hand looms similar to the ones used back in the 1700's and collectors worldwide are drawn to this particular shop's history and craftsmanship. They measure 18.5" x 9.5".
