Description

This fabulous, hand woven Pashmina (the finest type of cashmere wool) shawl comes from the Capra Hicus goat reared in high altitudes in the Himalayas. In the 18th century, the Moghul Emperors in India had these cashmere wool and silk yarns blended to derive this royal fabric which is known for its natural warmth, softness and an elegant sheen. Prized by Indian, Nepalese and Chinese royalty, these handmade shawls were made to be an integral part of a royal woman's trousseau, passed down from generation to generation.

Shawl is 70% pashmina (cashmere) and 30% silk. Made in Nepal. It measures approximately 82"x27".
