An Introduction to the classical South Indian dance style from Chennai with an overview of the basic steps and mudras (hand gestures).
Harini Srinivasan has been a Bharatanatyam dancer since she was 7. She studied various styles of Bharatanatyam in India, performing in school and other community events. She started studying T. Bala Saraswati style of Bharatanatyam since she came to the US in 1989. Since 1995, she's been an advanced Bharatanatyam student of Kamala Buckner, student of T. Balasaraswati, at Lotus Music & Dance. Harini has performed at various Lotus events in the last couple of decades. She also enjoys teaching Bharanatyam as she believes getting back to the basics helps improve her own dance. She has been dancing with her daughter on stage for the past 5 years.

Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
