From the Sacred Realm: Treasures of Tibetan Art from the Newark Museum (African, Asian & Oceanic Art) was edited by curator Valrae Reynolds with essays by Dr. Janet Gyatso, Dr. Amy Heller and Dr. Dan Martin.  The collection of Tibetan Art at the Newark Museum has long been referred to as one of the finest collections of art of Tibet in North America.  The book is a primer for Tibetan Art and the collection at the Newark Museum.  It is based on the conviction that the art must be appreciated in its wider cultural, religious, and political context.
