In this one-day workshop one lucky participant will learn the basic principles of animation. The course will meet 11am, beginning with a brief history of animation and screening examples, then you'll be led through a rotoscoping exercise. The goal is to conceive, draw and animate a simple action that can be looped infinitely to share with friends and family. Participants will walk away with hands on experience of hand-drawn animation, a finished short on loop, and the knowledge to continue to work in this practice at home. All materials will be provided.
