Sue Koch Otsuka - Artist's Statement
I have begun to do my own artwork in earnest. As a graphic designer I have worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for a career's length. It has been my fortune to experience, to deeply look at a range of the most amazing and beautiful art of the world. I am particularly interested in the forming based upon weaving, typography, children's block building, the juxtapolition of color and accident. There is a focus of intention and accident. I want my work to look as though it "just happened".
