Using a long exposure technique combined with deliberate camera movement Stefan is creating photographs of landscapes inspired by abstract expressionists, capturing an atmosphere rather than an explicit reality and opening for the viewer the possibility for interpretation.

The photographs are taken along the coast of the Long Island Sound during the first few seconds of sunrise. All images are created in camera, with minor adjustments during post-production in color correction, crop and spotting.
