El Albergue Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo & Cusco, Peru

Three Nights in the Sacred Valley of Peru for Two

www.elalbergue.com

You’ll spend two nights at El Albergue Ollantaytambo and one night at El Balcon, Cusco with round-trip transportation between hotels, included.

Originally opened in 1925, El Albergue is a historic and romantic hotel, located in the Ollantaytambo train station little more than an hour away from Machu Picchu and the city of Cusco.

At El Albergue the gardens are visited by hummingbirds and engulfed by the aroma of fuchsia, passionflower, peaches and avocado trees. During your stay, you may spend days visiting the archeological sites of Ollantaytambo, Pisaq and Moray, river rafting, biking, horseback riding and enjoying the beauty, cuisine and culture of the Andes - or simply relaxing in the hammocks and sauna.

El Balcón is the beautiful sister hotel to El Albergue. Located only three blocks from the Plaza de Armas in the city of Cusco, El Balcon has a commanding view of the entire city, cathedrals, churches, mountains and the Ausangate glacier.

El Balcon is a renovated colonial Casona that dates back to the 1630s built atop the preceding Inca terraces. Inca stone work and colonial balustrades mesh harmoniously around terraced gardens creating an atmosphere that is beautiful, historic and authentically Peruvian. Some of the amenities and services include free airport transportation, complimentary hot breakfast and buffet, laundry, and free yoga classes.

Included, is a Pachamanca Farm Lunch Experience. The Pachamanca, which translates to "earth oven" in the Quechua language, is a traditional Incan meal cooked upon hot rocks.  The Pachamanca Farm Lunch includes a tour of the farm as well as a visit to their Cañazo (sugar cane liquor) distillery and coffee roasting facility with tastings of these artisanal products.  You're welcome to participate in the preparation of the Pachamanca, and while the food cooks, you can visit the farm and learn about traditional and contemporary organic farming practices.  The lunch includes a variety of "grilled" meat (chicken, pork, and lamb with alpaca, rabbit and cuy upon request), Andean potatoes and camote, organic vegetables, a variety of house-made salads and sauces as well as chicha morada (purple corn beverage).  They can accommodate most dietary restrictions, and wine and beer are available upon request.  Lunch is served at covered picnic tables right on the farm with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, glaciers and Inca archeological sites.

Valid until May 1, 2018.

This is a Live Event Item.
