About the Artist:
Seline Skoug’s photographs are notable for their sensitive treatment of light and lyrical sense of humor. She began shooting photographs as a young woman during her travels from Norway to St. Croix to the rivers and mountains of Vermont. Along the way, her work was shaped by her appreciation of the natural world and love of people and community. She also has been influenced by the many artists in her family and the artists in the Battenkill Valley. She has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Vermont and New York and her photographs are in private homes and offices around the country. Her work has been recognized by Horticulture Magazine and the American Alliance of Museums. Her images will be included in a book “Untold Stories of the Battenkill” published by the Battenkill Conservancy due out this month.
