Description

The Westchester Chamber Music Society is celebrating its 66th anniversary during the 2016-2017 season. Led by its President, Dr. Caroline Bauman, The Westchester Chamber Music Society has been bringing first-rate artists to Westchester, including the Tokyo String Quartet in virtually every season since its Westchester premiere, the Antonin String Quartet, with violinist Glenn Dicterow; the Emerson, Brentano, and Kalichstein ensembles; and the renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

We present five concerts each year on Sunday afternoons at 4pm at Congregation Emanuel-El of Westchester on Westchester Avenue in Rye, just east of Kenilworth Road. Performers and audiences agree that the hall has excellent acoustics and is especially well suited for chamber music.

"We have many longtime subscribers and newer members who enjoy the unique experience of listening to chamber music in a space similar in size to the ones in which Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven originally performed," said Dr. Bauman.

We also invite our audience to meet the musicians after each concert at an informal reception at which refreshments are served.

You will enjoy two (2) season tickets to The Westchester Chamber Music Society for the 2017-2018 season!
