Tomales Bay is the largest unspoiled coastal embayment on the coast of California. Johan Niklasson (5th grade and 7th grade father at Summerfield) has been kayaking for the past 20+ years. He is an active member of Bay Area Sea Kayakers and teaches classes in kayak surfing, touring, stroke technique, safety & rescue, rock gardening, kayak navigation & trip planning etc. Johan has paddled extensively on Tomales Bay and is often found kayak camping on the many beaches on both sides of the peninsula.
