Jason Gould, principal architect of Beamish Studio, has more than twelve years experience in apartment renovations, the construction of new homes, and the design of commercial spaces. Jason integrates an appreciation for existing and historic structures while designing through a modern lens. A Manhattan native, he identifies the most efficient use for even the smallest spaces. Jason has particular expertise incorporating additions to existing homes and finding common sense solutions to energy efficiency. Having previously worked for a fine furniture maker – and as a student of sustainable technologies – he believes that materials and detailing in design are central components to any project.  The studio's most recent work, in collaboration with Demetri Sarantitis, is with the city of Hoboken, NJ on their memorial to the victims of the 9/11 attacks and his current projects include residential and commercial spaces in NY, NJ and in Africa.
