Several years ago I saw a necktie quilt at a quilt show and wanted to make one.  When I finally got around to doing it, I had no neckties.  I asked gentlemen (many retired Caterpillar engineers) for donations and they came through with flying colors.  This is the result.  This quilt was very labor-intensive, each piece being individually cut and interfaced before piecing.  It is hand quilted. The men enjoyed seeing the quilt and picking out their ties.
