Description
The winner of this package will receive Rene Pean: Mers-Les-Bains. Poster measures 8.5"x11", is unframed, and has a foam board backing. Donated by Howard and Renee Capponi
He created between 1895 and 1905 in the workshop Chaix many posters for the entertainment and leisure. His family is originally from the Sarthe and had settled in Paris at the beginning of the Second Empire. In 1889 He was apprenticed in the studio of Jules Cheret, now, after 1881, the Imprimerie Chaix, at 20 rue Berge `re, where he remained until 1910.
