The winner of this package will receive this framed astrograph of "The Great Comet of the 20th Century" by John Mowbray.

The Comet Hale-Bopp made a spectacular appearance over the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area on April 26, 1997 as it was photographed by John Mowbray.  A combination of frozen water, gas and dust, comets contain materials used in the formation of the solar system. Last appearing over Southern Nevada in 2213 B.C., the Comet Hale-Bopp will not reappear until late in the 44th century.  

John Mowbray a 2^nd generation Nevada lawyer is an avid astronomer and photographer who enjoys exploring the universe from the environs of Southern Nevada in general and the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area in particular. Mowbray and his telescopes have scanned the night skies for years. Capturing on film the last solar eclipse of the 20th century and the first lunar eclipse of the 21st century, Mowbray's photographs of comets and planetary conjunctions have chronicled recent events of the cosmos in our times.
