Engineering is in the definition of our future.  Our Middle School students have the fortunate opportunity to dabble in the realm of the engineering sciences, exploring various fields of study, and learning more about the world around them.

This hands-on class features cooperative work.  Students plan, design, test, and analyze their failures and successes, redesign, retest, and, hopefully, have fun and learn a lot while participatig in the process.

Big Topics for the semester, as time allows, includes:

• Simple machines


• 3D shapes emphasizing measurement, surface area, and volume


• Aeronautical engineering featuring air powered rockets


• Civil engineering emphasizing bridges


• Electrical engineering featuring the Arduino Uno
