Description

'Audubon's Birds of America' 1840 1st edition book and a hand colored royal octavo print of the Passenger Pigeon together with a copy of 'Audubon's Great National Work: The Royal Octavo Edition of the Birds of America' by Ron Tyler, 1993.

The print is one of the most popular and rare of the bird prints in this edition, as the Passenger Pigeon is one of a handful of birds that Audubon described, which are now extinct. The book is also a sought after item, and of a size that would be wonderful on the coffee table to display.  Book dimensions are 8.5 x 11 inches.

Print is mounted in a very nice black wood frame. Dimensions are 10.25 x 13.25 inches.

A beautiful pair for the collector or bird watcher.
