Description

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona received a donation of six, 11" x 14" autographed photos of former New York Yankees baseball players who starred for the team in the 1950s and 60s, available here as a set. Each photo is in a heavy cardboard frame and outer plastic sleeve, ready to be mounted together in one large collection or individually framed to the winning bidder's taste.

Included in this package are these former Yankees, all pictured in their Yankee uniforms:

Clete Boyer played with the Yankees from 1959 to 1966, including on their '61 and '62 World Series championship teams. He hit 162 career home runs and won a Gold Glove in 1969.

An 8-time All Star, Moose Skowron was a Yankee for the first nine years of his 14 year MLB career, hitting a career 211 home runs and helping the Yankees win the World Series in '56, '58, '61 and '62.

Ralph Terry, 1962 World Series MVP. Terry pitched for the Yankees from 1956 to '57 and again from '59 to '64. He struck out exactly 1000 batters in his career.

Andy Carey was a Yankees third baseman from 1952 to 1960, including on their '56 and '58 World Series championship teams. He's been remembered for two stunning defensive plays to preserve Don Larsen's perfect game in the World Series.

Gil McDougald, 1951 American League Rookie of the Year who played his entire career, 1951 to 1960, for the Yankees, splitting his time between three infield positions.

Phil Linz, whose 7 year major league career included 354 games with the Yankees from 1961 to 1965; he later played for the Phillies and Mets.

Special Instructions

Various certificates of authenticity are included for each photo; given the age, some of the verification websites appear to now be defunct. The photos appear to have all been signed around the same time, most likely at a retired Yankee players event.
