Day Trip for 2 to Anacapa or Santa Cruz Island - Take your pick! Each island experience is different. You'll see many endemic species of plants, birds and fox, and will will experience nature in a very personal way.

Both Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands are a great choice for the first time. It takes a short time to get to Anacapa and after climbing the stairs, the island offers a short hike, lighthouse, and inspirational panoramic views. Santa Cruz Island offers a variety of hiking trails, along with an interactive visitor’s center and a cobblestone beach.

The normal channel crossing time for either of these islands is slightly over one hour. Time can vary because they do stop for wildlife, dolphins and whales.

You'll typically take off for the islands between 9 and 9:30 am. Click here for schedules. 

We took the boat to Santa Cruz Island yesterday and the experience was wonderful! The staff was very professional and helpful, the boat was clean and seating was comfortable... It was truly one of the most magical days I have experienced! I'm an Aussie living in Ventura and this was the first time out to the islands for me. The crew were great and the skipper Luke (another Aussie!) was very informative about all the wildlife and the history of the islands. It was a beautiful day and we saw pods of common dolphins and off shore bottle nose dolphins and...wait for it...A BLUE WHALE! It was so fantastic and very beautiful.
