I finally did one of those things I've always wanted to do and signed up for an art class! I heard about Makers Mess and selected a class and showed up ready to get messy and artsy. The instructor was so gracious and made the material easy to approach (the snacks and wine didn't hurt either.) If you're already artsy and crafty or have no artistic ability at all, it doesn't matter! You will be welcomed here.
