Valerie Pobjoy, a native Angeleno, graduated from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. Down-to-earth portrayals of everyday life is something she finds beautiful and aims to express through her own work. In traditional oil techniques, Pobjoy portrays her world through intimate portraits and street scenes, painting friends and strangers, amidst the subculture of night life and heavy metal in Los Angeles.
