Description
Edendale features an exciting "Comfort-Fusion" menu from Chef Paul Downer, a spectacular bar that offers craft beers and house cocktails based on the classics, an extensive wine list, and beautiful outdoor patios.
Edendale was first built in 1924 as Los Angeles Fire Station 56. For over 60 years it served the neighborhood of Edendale, which encompassed Silver Lake, Los Feliz, and parts of Echo Park. This area had some of the first silent film studios, which are now depicted in galleries throughout the restaurant. It made the transition to a bar and restaurant in 2002, and then resident bartender Eddie Ebell took ownership in 2010. This solidified the establishment as a local favorite through his focus on worldly comfort food, great cocktails, and a casual environment perfect for a variety of occasions.
Amazing food, converted old firehouse from 1924, great decor, ambiance. Perfect.- Bert W., YELP
Total gem somewhat hidden in an old firehouse off Rowena in Silver Lake. The best part about Edendale is the intimate ambiance, my go-to date spot for sure. Amazing cocktails and cuisine. 5 stars. - Matt B., YELP
Loved this place! It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Service was great & the food was diverse, fresh and flavorful. Everything from the mussels to the mac n' cheese was superb. Great for a group or date night! - Chelsea O., YELP
