Founded in 1896, the Aronimink Golf Club moved to its current location in 1926 and Donald Ross, the Scottish pro who became one of America’s foremost golf architects, was commissioned to design the course.  Nestled among the trees and fields in Newtown, Pa. (about an hour west of Philadelphia), The Aronimink Golf Club has hosted many prestigious tournaments  including the 1962 PGA Championship, the 1977 U.S. Amateur Championship, the 1997 United States Junior Amateur Championship, 2003 Senior PGA Championship, the 2010 and 2011 AT&T National Championship, and next-year’s 2018 BMW Championship.  It is ranked as the 78th best course in the U.S. and the third best in Pennsylvania by Golf Digest.
