Everyone loves a teddy bear.  But this is no ordinary bear, friends. This is a Steiff bear.  Founded in 1880, Steiff is a German company specializing in handmade, high-quality, plush toys and collectibles. Made in a limited edition of 3,000 and only available to Steiff Club Members, this particular teddy is now part of the Steiff archives and is no longer available for purchase. It is, however, available to the highest bidder taking part in this very cool auction.

This teddy is an extraordinary replica of a post-war 1919 bear that is made with paper fabric, wooden eyes, jointed limbs, a hand embroidered nose, linen paws, and the famous Steiff gold-plated button in his ear. He's just over a foot long and comes with a special edition book.
