NEW MINIMUM BID: "Sacre Coeur" Painting by Christine Chagnoux

Item Number: 361
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
A twentieth century French artist, author, and illustrator, Christine Chagnoux studied art techniques in her native Paris. Since the mid 1960s her art has been exhibited widely in such cities as Lausanne, Paris and New York. She has also been awarded the 'Prix des jeunes'.
Chagnoux's original aquatint, etching, and watercolor, Sacre Coeur, Paris, was published in an edition of 120 signed and numbered impressions. Each impression is, however, distinctly unique as she has utilized different color patterns, particularly on the buildings and trees. A noted children's author and illustrator, Christine Chagnoux is also well regarded for her paintings, posters, and etchings.
