Case: Wine Library Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006 & 2011 Vintages

You’ll receive six bottles each of Library Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006 and 2011 vintages, grown, produced and bottled in the Alexander Valley.

At Hafner’s Annual Vertical Tasting in January 2017, they tasted the 2006 and 2011 wines. Following are their notes:

2006: Violets, cassis, black cherries and anise aromas. Supple, velvety, rich. Bittersweet chocolate, sweet mint, black pepper notes. Long, chewy finish.

2011: Cherries, black pepper, picholine olives and nutmeg aromas. Lively, bright flavors of mint, forest floor, bittersweet chocolate and toasty vanilla.

This wine is sold out, however, Hafner held back a small amount to pair with the 2006 vintage to demonstrate the benefits of aging.
