Classically trained as a biological realist illustrator, Dana Hawley has been a professional artist since 1980 and lives and paints on a vineyard overlooking Sonoma County's Dry Creek Valley. 

Dana has a coherent style both in plein air location work as well as large format studio paintings, Her style has evolved to what is best described as Impressionistic, with use of thick gestural paint and brush work.

You and a friend will be instructed in the fine art of plein air painting, which is the practice of experiencing painting in the landscape, made into an art form by the French Impressionists. 

All materials are included, all levels are welcome and you will each enjoy a glass of Hawley Wine during this four hour class.
