VINTAGE 1960’S JAPANESE VILLAGE SOUVENIR DISHES, BUENA PARK CA. - White Plate (Collector’s Item) The only Japanese amusement theme park in America opened in 1967 near Knotts Berry Farm. Shows included Japanese brown bears, dolphin feeding, cultural performances, Japanese pearl divers. The park was landscaped with koi ponds, Japanese gardens, Japanese pavillons, tori gates, temples and hundreds of Japanese deers freely roamed the park, similar to Nara Park and Miyajima Island.  The park employed hundred’s of Japanese and Japanese Americans.  The park still holds many memories for the Nisei and Sansei generation.
