Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating Clinic
Triboro Youth Hockey is proud to continue its Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating Clinic Programs at the Navin Rink in Marlborough.
Triboro Youth Hockey has once again contracted with The John Dillon Power Skating School for a twelfth straight year to run its Learn to Skate/Hockey Skating program. "LTS" is designed for beginners and students that are looking to learn how to skate. This clinic teaches basic skating skills through a progression of ability levels from beginner to intermediate. John Dillon’s Instructors will split the ice up into 4-6 sections, evaluate students and place them in the appropriate group. Each level builds on what they have learned in the previous level.
What's needed for this session: skates, a helmet with a face mask, and hockey gloves (or mittens or gloves) to protect the hands are required; elbow pads and shin guards are recommended. All students will receive a Triboro hockey jersey and medal.
Here are the dates for the remaining two sessions:
Session #2 - Dec 9th, 16th, 23rd Dec 30th, Jan 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
Session #3 - Feb 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
Cross-Ice 3 vs 3 / Mosquito Program
Triboro Youth Hockey is proud to announce the return of the Cross-Ice 3 vs 3 / Mosquito program.
TRY IT FREE FOR 4 WEEKS: All skaters born 2010 - 20013 are invited to join us for a great Sunday morning tradition. The sessions start November 12, 2017 and are held each Sunday morning at 9 am at the Navin ice arena.
The cross-ice format is a chance for new and younger players to experience game situations. The smaller ice surface helps the players to develop their skills, gives them more opportunity to handle the puck, and to have tremendous fun playing the great game of hockey. This will also help our younger players who want to transition to the Mite level. For this session, the ice will be divided into thirds, where two-thirds of the rink will be for games, and depending on numbers - the middle third may be used for light instruction from the coaches. Each skater will receive a Triboro jersey. Full hockey equipment, including a certified helmet with full face shield is required.
Following the free 4-week session Triboro will also run two 8-week sessions at a cost of $125 per session.
The dates for the 3 sessions are as follows:
Session #1 - 11/12, 11/19, 11/26, 12/3 (FREE)
Session #2 - 12/10 12/17, 12/24, 12/31, 1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28
Session #3 - 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25
*There are two items you need to complete in order for your child to participate. One is to register into the Triboro program; the other is to register with USA Hockey.*
