The winning bidder and one friend will go on night patrol in a state-of-the-art squad car with one of Thousand Oaks' finest! (yes, that mean with lights and everything!)
You will help keep the streets safe with Captain Aguilar, tour the Thousand Oaks Police Department including the jail - and then he'll take you to dinner!
Captain Aguilar has served with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years. He has worked a variety of assignments including Custody, Patrol, full-time Bike Patrol, Narcotics, Major Crimes, C.O.P.P.S., Administration, Patrol Watch Commander, Public Information Officer and Adjutant to Sheriff Geoff Dean, and Facility Manager at the Todd Road Jail. Don is currently working as the Assistant Police Chief for the Thousand Oaks Police Department. He has a Master’s Degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach. Captain Aguilar is a graduate of the California Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute and the Executive Development School. During his career, Don has been the recipient of Officer of the Year Award for the City of Thousand Oaks and the City of Moorpark. He has also been recognized for his investigative work by the United States Attorney’s Office. Captain Aguilar and his wife live in Ventura County, where they have raised their two children.
