Join us this summer for a three-week intensive program for grades
7–12 presenting SUESSICAL! SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical,
musical extravaganza that transports us to the world of Dr. Seuss,
bringing to life such characters as Horton the Elephant, The Cat in
the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, a little boy with a huge
imagination named JoJo and many more, with an amazing musical
score by Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Students
will learn how to tell a story and effectively communicate with an
audience through scene study, character work, song interpretation
and musical theatre dance. All of their hard work will culminate
in performances for family and friends on the main stage of the
Tutor Family Center for the Performing Arts. Guided by Broadway
professionals, students will sharpen their skills and have fun in a
supportive, non-competitive environment. Students are expected
to attend a placement audition the day prior to the first day of
workshop with a song and memorized monologue.
